Thomas A. Brewer, Esq., Associate, O’Cathain Law Group

While in law school, Thomas interned at the Office of the Public Defender in the Parental Representation Unit, helping represent impoverished families in DCP&P initiated abuse and neglect cases, and arguing for a more racially equitable child welfare system. Thomas also participated in the Seton Hall Law School Center for Social Justice, Family Law Clinic, handling divorce cases and relentlessly advocating for victims of domestic violence. For his work, he was presented the law school’s “Outstanding Contribution to Family Law” award, an honor granted to the highest performers in the Family Law Clinic.

After graduating from law school, Thomas served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Nina C. Remson, J.S.C., where he handled custody, child support, and post-dissolution matters. He practices exclusively in family law matters. He is an active member of the New Jersey bar, and a member of the Young Lawyers Division.

A South Florida native, Thomas earned his B.A. from the University of Tennessee before obtaining his J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law.
