Thomas A. Brewer is an associate with the firm, exclusively practicing family and matrimonial law. He is admitted to the New Jersey State bar, having obtained his JD from Seton Hall School of Law in 2021. While in law school, Thomas interned at the Office of the Public Defender in the Parental Representation Unit, helping represent impoverished families in DCP&P initiated abuse and neglect cases, and arguing for a more racially equitable child welfare system. Thomas also participated in the Seton Hall Law School Center for Social Justice, Family Law Clinic, handling divorce cases and relentlessly advocating for victims of domestic violence. For his work, he was presented the law school’s “Outstanding Contribution to Family Law” award, an honor granted to the highest performers in the Family Law Clinic.

Upon graduation from law school, Thomas served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Nina C. Remson, J.S.C., where he handled custody, child support, and post-dissolution matters. His experience working within the judiciary has proven invaluable and provided great insight into the adjudication of family law matters. Upon completing his clerkship, he immediately joined the firm, resuming his devotion to providing clients with realistic prospects for resolving matters amicably, and providing relentless advocacy where necessary. Today, his practice is focused on resolution of equitable distribution, spousal support, custody, and post-judgment modifications. Thomas especially loves difficult cases, and those involving unsettled questions of law. Detail oriented, Thomas practices with an eye towards Appellate practice at each and every step. His philosophy is simple: prioritize the client’s financial, emotional, and psychological well-being. He is an active member of the New Jersey bar, and a member of the Young Lawyers Division.

A South Florida native, Thomas earned his B.A. from the University of Tennessee before obtaining his J.D. from Seton Hall School of Law.

Thomas grew up in Palm Beach County before spending his formative years in Tennessee, home of his Tennessee Vols. When he isn’t at the office, Thomas is most likely golfing with his son, Rowan, or spending time with his wife, Victoria. An avid chef, Thomas relocated to New Jersey to be close to the New York dining scene, and his Yankees.
